All the things that we have lost

Freaks, Droogs, and Other InHumans
(in no particular order)

Friends are a weird thing. I don't really know about friends. You think someone is your friend and then they sell you out or just blow you off or spend a year lying to you about something so important that when they finally tell you, it rips your heart in two. I really consider myself to have very few real friends. Don't get me wrong -- I like people a lot, and always enjoy being around people. But I don't necessarily trust anyone. Whenever I try to, I just end up sorry I ever bothered.

  • Ricky and I dated for 8 years. He lives in Prague.

  • Anthony is a serious problem. I love him one minute and hate him the next. Believe you me, he deserves to be hated. He claims to be my best friend, and he seems to think he's my boyfriend. Would that he would act like it.

  • Alicia is my partner in Taking Over the World. She has recently returned from a tour of duty in San Francisco, and is no doubt ready to continue her World Taking Over activites, unabated.

  • Amanda is a very good artist. I used to think she was the best friend I'd ever had, but lately I've had reason to call that into question. She lives in Minnesota.

  • Donya, predictably, lives in Seattle now. We went to Germany and Prague together.

  • Jeff is a wonderful photographer and a really sarky guy.

  • Chad is the nicest guy in the known universe. I was his Best Person in his wedding to Tracy.

  • Emily lives in MN., and I only really know her from the Utah.Goth list but I like her a lot.

  • Tim is someone I met when we were 15.

  • Robbie and I met circa 1988.

  • Visual Mark (Gary) is from my PMC-MOO days. Brilliant, witty, and a hell of a phreak.

  • Green Candle is another wacky PMC-MOO one. Just don't ever dare her to wiz on you.

  • Elmo (Chad) is someone I met online but really got close to after we met in person. There was chemistry there.

  • Sedate (Tosh) is just this guy, you know?

  • Bookish is a popular revolution icon, the kind who will be waving red flags in the street outside of his bookstore when the revolution finally gets here.
