Roadside, Little Cottonwood Canyon
July 06, 2005

Goldenrod Crab Spider, Unidentified pink flower.

I went up Little Cottonwood Canyon, toward Alta (where we went to go see snow that time; remember?) because my trip up there on Saturday to hadn't been long enough. I stopped on the roadside because I saw a Woods Rose, and then decided, on a whim, to cross the road and see if there was anything interesting to see over there. I was rewarded with some cute, tiny pink and white bell-shaped flowers. Delighted, I dropped to my knees and started snapping away. There seemed to be something amiss in one of the bunches, so I reached down to smooth the flowers when I realized that I wasn't just photographing flowers!

I am so gothic, I can't even take a picture of a pink flower without it coming out a little creepy!
