Anthony, Jena, Jimmy, Paul, and I drove out to Promontory Point to see the Spiral Jetty before it sinks below the waves. It was a wonderful trip; we also saw the steam engines at Golden Spike, some wild flowers, and the weird junk left out on the oil jetty just to the east of the Spiral Jetty.

Jimmy is the small black figure far out on the jetty. Anthony is the one messing with his shoe on the beach. Jimmy made it almost to the tip of the jetty, leaping from rock to rock. I made it out as far as the curve, but I waded, and even then, I was exhausted.
